The Devil Knows

THE DEVIL KNOWS

Some of you out there may have heard this song with the over-bearing hick accent, I wonder if he really talks like that or just sings like that to try to be country? I don't even like his music, but I digress...

Well not only does the devil know if you're going through hell, he knows your name, your struggles, weaknesses, motives, and where to attack you. This may be a fun-loving, catching song, but the Devil and His motives are anything but fun.

We under-estimate our enemy. The devil is a liar, deceiver, mocker, demon, and pure evil. He will get in your mind and talk you into doing things you shouldn't do, saying things you shouldn't say, and being a way you shouldn't be. He will use you, your family, and friends. He will talk you into making excuses, justifying your actions, and accepting your attitude.

He will talk us into never going to church, never making a commitment to being saved, putting off our relationship with Jesus, and He will help us be mediocre in our faith, or a pew warming, complaining, trouble-making, judgemental excuse for a christian.

The devil has no limits to his evil and deception. He uses the saved and the unsaved, He preys on the christian, nominal christian, and the non-christian.If you are never aware of the devil, He will eat you up, but to be honest if we don't know about the devil, prepare for his attacks, and look for Him, we make his job very easy.

The bible reminds us to stand up against his schemes(eph 6:11), resist him(james 4:7), not to give him a foothold in your life (eph 4:27), and to be self-contolled and alert cause the devil is prowling around like a lion waiting to devour you (1 Peter 5:8). These are just a few warnings or reminders about the Devil.

The devil was an angel kicked out of Heaven for Eternity and has the weight of Eternal damnation and separation from God on his head. the devil like most cowards or pure evil people, just want to take as many people down with them as possible since they know they can't win or are in trouble.

Sometimes the devil is not very obvious, He is like a sheep in wolves clothing, He hides himself in something that seems innocent and before long he has whipped us, beat us, or taken control of us through some sort of trickery of sin or deception.

The good news is that Jesus has already defeated the devil, he can't win, only if we let him. That is why we are promised if we do resist him, he must flee, and that as long as we don't give him a foothold (aka a stronghold, a grip, a foot in the door) in our lives we can overcome his attacks, avoid his deceptions, and not give in to his enticing and alluring tricks.

I don't have all the answers, but I know that the Devils knows more than Bo knows and that's no joke. And no matter what you're going through the Devils knows where you at at all times, so that is why we must make a conscience effort every day to seek God and live for Him. We may stumble, fall, make a mistake, and mess up everyday, but every moment we must return to God, seek His grace, and resist the devil. The victory is already won.
